Brescia Parking Meters
From Monday March 16th 2015, new rates for parking meters in Brescia are available in addition to the changes introduced in September 2014, with the aim to simplify and rationalize the rates system of street level parkings.
The division of the city in 3 areas will be unchanged:
- Area A (red), with a rate of 2.40 € / hour, placed inside the Venetian walls from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Saturday and limitation of a maximum stay of 2 hours. In this area a discount of 50% for residents through the Park City Card is not applied.
- Area B (yellow), with a rate of 1.50 € / hour and a maximum stay of three hours with different time slots (B1 ring area, area Brescia2 B2, B3 area Hospital).
- Area C (green), with a rate of 1.20 € / hour, divided into C1 (every day except holidays from 9:00 to 12:30am and from 2:00pm 7:30pm), C2 (every day except holidays from 9:00 to 12:30am and from 2:30pm to 7:00pm) and C2* (from March 16th 2015 - every day except Saturdays and holidays from 9:00 to 12:30am and from 2:30pm to 7:00pm).
The discount of 50% for the parking is normally confirmed in parking meters, except for the parking areas with rate A (inside the historic city centre) and the parking areas on the surface (various prices) in the neighborhood of the most important parking places.
Another change concerns the rules of long-stay parking meter areas, and those where it is permitted to park more than 3 hours, also with special subscription packages. These monthly subscriptions have a cost of € 35 and are valid in areas identified as C1.
It has also been introduced a maximum limit of three hours to park in some streets where previously it was not allowed: in these areas it is no longer possible to use subscriptions for long stay.
Please note that the parking meters accept coins from 5 cents to 2 euros, magnetic cards or prepaid card BSM Omnibus Card payment mode and charging.
