EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY WEEK 2018

On 16-23 September the 17th edition of European Sustainable Mobility Week returns, promoted by the European Commission, seeking to encourage the use of alternative transport and green lifestyles. 

The theme for the 2018 edition is "Multimodality" with the slogan "Change and Go", referring to the choice of different means of transport, both during the same trip and for different trips, based on the characteristics of the journey and the traveller. 

Again this year the Brescia Mobilità Group's attention will be focused on promoting the bicycle for travelling in the city where space and access are limited. The second edition of the Brescia Bike Festival will be held on 21-23 September, featuring events, workshops and shows dedicated to the world of two wheels.

All Brescia Bike Festival events are free and open to all.

There are two other events scheduled for Sunday, 16 September. At 11.00 am the inauguration of "Go green", an exhibition on sustainable mobility designed by Ambiente Parco and staged in the foyer of the Brescia Mobilità Group (Via L. Magnolini 3). During the year guided tours will be organised for elementary and middle schools. 

The second event on Sunday, 16 September at 6 pm in Piazza Loggia is the second appointment of Travel Notes...Under the Loggia, the free presentation with Professor Fausto Manara entitled "Slowness - How to learn to slow down and reduce stress in a fast-paced world". He will talk about the subject of slowness, a precious antidote to the frenetic rhythms of modern life, and strategies for learning how to slow down and enjoy the moment, savouring what surrounds us and reducing stress in an effective and natural manner.
