SANPOLINO METRO: FINAL STAGE OF WORK ON NOISE-REDUCTION BARRIERS UNDERWAY

Work is continuing on the installation of noise-reduction barriers along the elevated section of the metro line near Sanpolino station. The project, now in its final stages, aims to improve living conditions in the neighbourhood and reduce the noise impact of the metro line.

When

Traffic changes will come into effect from 3 June, and metro service changes will run from 9 June to 7 August, with a replacement bus service (new line 20) in operation.

How the metro service will change

On weekdays, between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm, the metro will operate exclusively on the following section: Prealpino – Poliambulanza.

During the same hours, the service between Poliambulanza and Sant’Eufemia / Buffalora will be temporarily suspended.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the service will run as normal along the entire line for the full duration of operating hours.

Replacement bus service: new Line 20

To ensure connections to the eastern part of the city, the new Line 20 will be introduced, a replacement bus service between: Poliambulanza – Sant’Eufemia / Buffalora.

The route will stop at the metro stations affected by the temporary suspension of service (Poliambulanza, San Polo Parco, San Polo, Sanpolino and Sant’Eufemia-Buffalora).

Frequency

The approximate frequency will be every 13 minutes.

Operating hours

Bus Route 20 will operate during the same hours as the metro service suspension: from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Changes to bus routes

To allow the works to be carried out safely, from Wednesday 3 June, the north side of Corso Bazoli will be closed in stages and temporary diversions will be introduced for bus routes 8, 9 and 16.
