A contactless electronic card, personal and non-transferable  (except for the Omnibuscards distributed free of charge directly to homes by the city of Brescia during the starting period of the Brescia subway, which are absolutely transferable and impersonal), that can be used for any service offered by Brescia Mobilità, like bus and subway passes (1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year), paying for parking in town, using the Bicimia bike sharing service.

  • 24 h tickets and blocks of 10 trips
  • Subway and bus passes lasting multiple months
  • Integrated passes (Subway + Park and Ride)
  • BiciMia passes
  • Parking facility passes
  • Prepaid parking credit for parking facilities and "blue line" street parking in the city of Brescia.

The personal Omnibus Card bears the owner's name and picture on the back, and cannot be used by others. The impersonal card, on the other hand, is a generic multi-user card.

The Omnibus Card must be validated every time you get on a vehicle (bus and subway) by simply swiping the card over the validator.

Of course, specifying this need when submitting the application. It is possible to add an impersonal pass for Zone 1 (monthly or annual) that can be used by multiple persons (obviously not at the same time, as it is still a pass just for its holder). In case of theft or loss the card can, however, be fully used by anyone as it doesn't have a photo.

By paying a €5 penalty it is possible to get a duplicate of the Omnibus Card. Just go to one of the Brescia Mobility Infopoints in Via Trieste 1, Viale della Stazione 47, or Via San Donino 30. Being a personal travel document, in case of theft or loss we recommend that you block the card to prevent its use by others.

TRAVEL WITH A BEEP

To buy a ticket, simply tap your contactless credit or debit card on the reader located above the ticket validators inside underground stations. No commission is added on top of the ticket, whose price remains that of an ordinary zone 1 ticket (€1.40), allowing you to travel on both the underground and buses for 90 minutes.

The system accepts credit cards (MasterCard, Visa and American Express circuits) and debit cards (Maestro and VPay circuits). You can also use prepaid cards belonging to the MasterCard and Visa circuits. All cards used must, however, be contactless.

The system also works with digitised cards (via Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay or other banking services) on NFC-enabled devices such as smartphones and smartwatches.

Contactless cards feature the symbol.

If your purchase was successful, the reader will beep and flash and a message will appear on the display showing that payment has been taken.

You can’t use your card to buy tickets for other people, as it is an individual service that must be used with the card you own and only allows you to purchase one ticket at a time.

If your card is not accepted, you need to check with your bank if it is actually authorised to make payments.

Please note that in order to use the public transport service, you will need to purchase a travel ticket in another way.

The card:

  • might not be contactless;
  • might not be authorised to make payments yet;
  • might not be part of the accepted circuits;
  • might not have enough credit;
  • might have been blocked;
  • might have expired;
  • might be unreadable.

This is a pre-authorisation made by the banking circuit the first time the card is used to purchase a travel ticket. Depending on the banking circuit, the amount is either fully refunded or the transaction is cancelled and only the amount relating to the tickets purchased remains charged.

If you are asked to show your ticket, you need to show the contactless card or NFC device used at the time of purchase.

Card and cardholder data are not memorised in any way. Ticket inspector devices actually only show the time and the underground station where the purchase was made.
