BRESCIAPP!: NEW FEATURE TO CHECK THE STATUS OF PAPER TRAVEL TICKETS

Bresciapp! now features a new function that allows users to check the status of paper travel tickets with a QR code directly from their smartphone.

The “QR Code Check” feature is available from the app’s Home screen and main menu and can also be used without registering. Simply update or download Bresciapp!, select the feature and scan the QR code on the ticket.

Within seconds, the app indicates whether the ticket needs to be validated, is valid or has expired. For tickets that are already active, users can also view the remaining validity time, the expiry time and, for tickets with multiple journeys, the number of remaining trips.

The scan is used exclusively to check the ticket status. Validation must still be carried out using the designated validators on board buses and at metro stations.

If the QR code cannot be read, the app allows users to try again. This may be due to a damaged, dirty or poorly readable code, or to a temporary lack of connectivity.

Bresciapp! is available to download free of charge from Google Play and the App Store.
