ONE SUBWAY, LOTS OF PARKS
It is born “A subway, many parks”, a signage and orientation system designed to accompany citizens and visitors to discover urban greenery starting from the subway stations. A simple and immediate way to enhance a widespread heritage that includes around 160 parks and gardens in the city.
Outside almost all stations, information totems with the slogan “Una metro, tanti parchi” have been installed, indicating the main urban parks within walking distance in a few minutes. These are accompanied by directional signage on the ground that guides passengers with green lines to the nearest spaces.
The project integrates with the Urban Green Trekking, the network of pedestrian itineraries promoted by the Municipality of Brescia as part of the Green and Biodiversity Plan: 16 itineraries covering over 110 km that pass through neighborhoods, parks, and nature trails, accessible via QR codes at stations and Bresciapp!.
“A subway, lots of parks” reinforces the subway's role as a gateway to the city, inviting people to experience it more sustainably and also enhancing its artistic heritage: along the route, dedicated signage accompanies visitors to discover the popular works of the SUBBRIXIA project and the MUM – Metro Urban Museum.

With this project, the Brescia metro thus confirms itself not only as a modern and sustainable mobility infrastructure, but also as one of the main access points to the city's urban park system, transforming every trip into an opportunity to discover new green spaces.
