9 AND 10 MAY 2026: ‘BLU IN BICI’ RETURNS WITH EVENTS, CYCLING TOURS AND AN ‘ECOLOGICAL SUNDAY’ ON A SINGLE TICKET
On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026, "Blu in Bici" returns to Brescia – the major event dedicated to cycling that will bring the historic centre to life with stands, activities, cycling tours and initiatives for all ages. The initiative showcases the BiciBrescia project, which for years has been promoting the use of the bicycle as a means of daily transport, with a packed programme of events taking place in Piazza della Loggia, Largo Formentone, Piazzetta Bell’Italia and Piazza Vittoria.
On Saturday 9 May, the programme will kick off with activities for schools as part of the GenerAzione BiciBrescia project, followed by Critical Mass and, in the evening, CicloCinema.
Sunday 10 May will be Car-Free Sunday: from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, the historic centre will be closed to private vehicles. For the occasion, a Single-Ticket Day will be in operation, allowing travel on buses and the metro all day long with a single ticket.
From 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, Piazza della Loggia will host stands, bike trials, workshops and activities for adults and children, whilst various areas of the city centre will feature talks, entertainment, music and initiatives dedicated to cycling. The BiciCheck will also be present, with specialist staff on hand to provide information, practical support and activities such as bike rides and guided tours open to all.
All events are free and open to the public.
