NEW QR CODE TICKETS ARE HERE: MAKING MOBILITY EVEN EASIER AND MORE CONVENIENT.
Starting today, Thursday, July 10, 2025, QR code tickets are available and will replace magnetic tickets, offering greater durability, speed and security. The new tickets are very similar to the current ones, but feature a QR code instead of a magnetic stripe.
Magnetic tickets will remain valid until December 31, 2025. After this date, they can no longer be used, but they can be exchanged for the new tickets at the Tourism and Mobility Infopoints located on Via Trieste, Viale della Stazione and Via San Bartolomeo.
The new tickets can be validated with a simple “scan”: just bring the ticket close to the validator. There is no need to touch or insert it—the red light will turn green, indicating that the ticket has been correctly read and registered.
QR code tickets can be purchased from all automatic ticket machines located inside metro stations, at the Tourism and Mobility Infopoints on Via Trieste, Viale della Stazione and Via San Bartolomeo, and at authorized sales points. When purchasing tickets from the automatic ticket machines, each transaction corresponds to one ticket only.
Multi-user ticket booklets and weekly passes will not feature a QR code. Instead, they will be converted to a chip-on-paper format, allowing them to be recharged, and they will continue to be validated in the traditional way.
Standard and daily tickets will also remain available for purchase through Bresciapp!, DroptTicket and MooneyGo. As usual, activation must be completed through the app, and there will be no need to bring the device close to the QR code reader.
