EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK: AMONG THE EVENTS ON THE PROGRAMME IS THE “BICIBRESCIA GENERATION” EXHIBITION

This year too, Brescia will play a leading role in European Mobility Week, promoted by the European Commission and scheduled to take place from 16 to 22 September. Particular emphasis will be placed on promoting cycling, with numerous initiatives taking place throughout the week.

Among the events on the programme, on Tuesday, 22 September at 6 p.m., the “GenerAzione BiciBrescia” exhibition will be inaugurated at the Ghetti Municipal Library. The exhibition has been organised in collaboration with Galleria della Natura.

The exhibition will showcase the work of students who took part in an educational programme dedicated to cycling and cycling infrastructure during the last school year. Through their work, “GenerAzione BiciBrescia” presents the younger generations’ perspective on cycling as a means of transport, turning creativity and reflection into a tool for promoting a more sustainable mobility culture.

On Friday, September 18, at 4:30 p.m., at the Pieve di UragoMella, A Neighborhood and itsstory, the project created by the SantaGiulia Academy of FineOn Friday, September 18, at 4:30 p.m., at the Pieve di UragoMella, A Neighborhood and itsstory, the project created by the SantaGiulia Academy of Fine Arts in collaboration with the Urago Mella Neighbo hood Council, will be presented. The initiative showcases the work of students in the Graphic Design and Communication program, who, through images and projects, have interpreted the identity, history, values, and distinctive features of Urago Mella, offering new perspectives on the neighborhood and the future of an area of the city that will be affected by the arrival of the new electric tram. During the event, all the projects will be presented, and the winning entry, selected by the Academys faculty, will be unveiled. In the days that follow, A Neighborhood and itsstorywill continue with a series of guided tours exploring Urago Mella, led by students from the Accademia SantaGiulia. Discover the project
